My up and down roller coaster of s-chassis goodness.
I figured I would show the past year of my car since im kinda bored. Here goes...
Our story begins with a s13 vert I purchased when I was 17. Here is the car about a year after I owned it. Ive had about 5 240s at this point and now Ive owned about 15 of them But Im sticking with the main ones because they contributed most of the parts to my current car.
Yeah so this is my old setup. S14 SR20 with a big turbonetics. made 340whp, 300tq on 22psi on a bone stock internal motor.
The car was cool and all but I wanted a cleaner shell.
So BOOM
I bought this.
Pretty clean vert. Still auto and had a blown head gasket.
here is the car about 3 days after I purchased it. HAHA
And this is the last picture I took of it before disaster struck...
Dunn dunn dunnnnn
BAM
Old lady not paying attention.
The wreck was worse than it looks entire strut tower was tweaked.
After a long insurance battle, I won and got lots o money and my car back in my possession.
And heres whats left of it before it was crushed.
After much headache of finding an unmolested coupe, I got this.
Tore the Sr down for new HG, head studs, cams, etc...
Bout some Ds.
Did 5-lug crap, and undercoated the whole car.

Finished sr with all the goodies.
2876R and a t25(currently on ka-t)

Full digital climate control.
A random pic.
My ballin gas tank.
wrecked Sr coupe I bought to part out/steal Tons of parts from.
Pulled the motor out again to put in my Mazworx z32 trans setup.
back in.
Corbeau seat.
Got the car running and blew It up about 3 days later at the 2-day drift event.
Random ka for the car.

The day after I got the KA running.
(Halloween bash in NOLA)
Just a small sample of the SR destruction. And yes, It did destroy my Cams...

Bought a Handy Mig
made a seat bracket for the bride, installed interior.
Front mount going back on.
Pulled the KA to freshen it up before boost. And thats another SR ive had for a long time.
t25 mounted up
OEM Silvia aero bumper.
Drift event a couple days after the ka cranked again (tuned it going on to trailer)

So anyways this is whats going on with it right now. I bought a set of Volks and traded them for a built SOHC Ka...
Yeah...
Dont make fun.
Anyways, I got a haltech p1000 for it, and my 2876r is going on it.
just have a few odds and ends for it to be done...
My goals for it are 400+tq and to not blow up...

I remember almost this entire process. You've made a lot of changes in the past year, to say the least.
I can't wait to witness the Wrath of the SingleSlammer build.

Re: My up and down roller coaster of s-chassis goodness.
So heres whats going on with the ka24e. All the parts ive stock piled for it so far are: forged bottom end, with all new acl bearings, arp rod bolts, felpro head gasket, AMS head studs, ported/polished head, O&J 270 cam, Fuelab Fpr with -an fittings, OBX headder (to break in the motor NA), Haltech P1000, Gt2876R Turbo, Custom sheet metal intake manifold, New felpro gasket set, New oem timing kit, tomei oil pump, and some other crap im forgetting.
I still need a clutch, trans, 1-peice driveshaft, aluminum radiator, and turbo manifold.
Right now the chassis is under major construction. Started on the body harness tuck and stripping down the chassis to be spot welded, prepped for the cage, and front tubs.
And I got my valve cover back from paint today.
And the sheet metal intake manifold I just ordered.

Re: My up and down roller coaster of s-chassis goodness.
My friend ace and I have been working on the chassis alot. Mostly wiring and stripping it down. Here's a pic of the tucked body harness.
So yeah, only headlights and electric fan wiring. But now I'm stripping the car to bare bones and removing sound deadening to get it ready for cage, stitch welding, tubs, and a full chassis color change. Also about to pick up some ls1 coil packs to run on the ka.

No! Get the LQ9 coils with heatsinks.

Re: My up and down roller coaster of s-chassis goodness.
Remove the center of the radiator support and make it bolt on when you do your tubs. Easier engine pulling, because we all know how often you pull motors these days.
